The FY24 Incentive is due by June 30, 2024. It is the members responsibility to notify us of the incentives completed. If you have completed a cancer screening, Motivated fitness program or any Health Plan sponsored incentive send an e mail to jkots@iaff22.org of the program that you / spouse have completed and we will verify it internally. If you completed an outside program such as a 5k run or other medical incentive you will need to send the documentation to jkots@iaff22.org. Every year members / spouses miss their incentive checks because we were not notified of incentives that were completed.

The City of Philadelphia is rolling out a new WELLNESS PROGRAM on the internet. This program is free to all city employees. To Learn more about this program go to www.local22healthplan.org - WELLNESS - ON THE GOGA or see the attached poster.

IF YOU HAD THE SCREENINGS IN THE PAST 2 YEARS YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO SCHEDULE ONE FOR MAY 2024.

As a result of our continued commitment to the Health and Wellness of our members, Local 22 Health Plan is hosting an Ultrasound Screening Mondays to Fridays starting Monday, May 6^th, 2024, to Friday, May 24^th, 2024 from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

All tests are ultrasound based and therefore painless, and non-invasive. Tests include an Echocardiogram, Carotid, Abdominal Aorta, Thyroid, Liver, Spleen, Bladder, Kidney, and Testicular. This screen also includes an Exterior Pelvic scan for females. The examination will take approximately 30 min to complete.

Fasting for at least 6 hours is required for the screening and you must pre-register to participate. Results will be issued via email 7 to 10 business days after testing. Be sure to use the email & phone number you’d like to receive updates when registering.

Are you an avid cyclist, a weekend warrior, or just back from the Tour De France? If so, Let’s Roll… we need you on the Philadelphia Fire Department Cycling Team. Our marquee event is the Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation Ben to the Shore Bike Tour. The 37th Annual event is on Sunday, July 21, 2024. It is a 65-mile charity bike ride (there is also a 30-mile option) that raises money to provide necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders. Our members have been recipients! Last year, we had 62 riders and were able to raise $24,521.00 for the cause, but we can do better. This year, we want 100 riders and are looking to set our fundraising goal at $40K.
